I had a similar situation at first, no worries though. Even though the memory card worked right out of the package in my case, I followed the instructions on the forums and reformatted the card in the phone like you did. My phone also reacted in a similar manner. I don't recall exactly what happened next, but it ended up working just fine.

Regarding the former comment from Xuli; here is a site with some conversion freeware and it will also teach you about converting video to & from .3gpp2: http://www.3gp.com/

I hope this has helped and apologies for the delay in responding...good luck!

Just got a 1GB microSD and popped it into my phone. First thing I did was go to set-up so that I could format the card. Once I clicked yes to start the formatting, the phone went into a cycle where the HelloMoto screen pops up for 4-5 seconds, then the screen goes blank for a second, and then the process repeats itself. My phone has been doing this for an hour now, and any buttons I push have no effect on the phone.

Did you initially format your microSD card, and if so, how long did it take?

Thanks,
Matt

I haven't yet attempted transferring videos (or photos) from my pc to my MicroSD card (phone), although I'm sure there must be a way to do this.

Transferring videos & photos created by my phone to my pc has been successfully tested though. Here are a few other points on that topic:

- Video recording capability has been increased to a max. of 3 minutes on the card, even though it could potentially fit more

- Once the video has been transferred via the card to my pc, it shows up as a .3g2 file type...this uses quicktime to playback on my pc's current setup

- To store these items on your memory card rather than directly to your phone, you simply hit the middle soft-key and "Switch Storage Device" when using your phone's camera or video recorder

Curious if this works to store photos and videos from the phone in order to transfer them to a computer. Have you been able to get this to work? Also, you mentioned that you have videos on the card, did you take videos from the PC to play on the phone?

Haven't tried it per se, but it is the same as microSD. Just another name for it. I have a 1 gb microSD (transflash) and it works great with my E815.

I have about 100 mp3's and a few short videos stored on it and there it's still more than half empty.

So, if you have the transflash 1gb, I'm sure it'll work just fine.
